The Accommodation
The gite comprises of 140 square metres of living space perfect for two people or a family of four to enjoy a really comfortable holiday. It comprises of a fully fitted kitchen which is very well equipped for all your holiday needs and has an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and filter coffee machine, etc.
The lounge/dining area is equipped with Stressless leather sofas and chairs, large dining table, and television with Freeview, Netflix, Disney + etc (please bring your login details). Leading off the lounge and accessed from multiple french doors is the private balcony which is equipped with gas barbeque, tables and chairs for ‘al-fresco’ dining. Also leading off the lounge area is a conservatory with rattan garden furniture and sun loungers.
The accommodation further comprises of two double bedrooms with televisions. One overlooking the garden area, the other with spectacular views of the river. There is a large bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower, separate toilet and washbasin.
There is ample parking in the grounds and various seating areas around the property and by the river for you to use if you wish.
Quality bed linen and towels are included in the price. Central heating is available in the colder months at cost if you should require it. The only additional cost is gite cleaning. Traditionally the end of stay cleaning in gites is done by the guest, but like a lot of other holiday accommodation we now offer an end of stay clean at a small cost which you can take advantage of if you want a really relaxing holiday.
The mill house is situated down a country lane leading to the river yet is only 3km south of Montreuil-Bellay with its beautiful chateau and good restaurants and shops. 15km away is the picturesque and vibrant town of Saumur for you to explore. The gite is well located for visiting the many chateaux of the Loire Valley and the area offers a wealth of opportunities for tasting its famous wines, walking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, golf and much more.
Unfortunately, due to the proximity of the river the gite is unsuitable for children under 12 years of age unless supervised at all times. The gite is on the first floor and is accessed by stairs.
